Women's Premier League The Women's Premier League (WPL) is a professional T20 cricket league for women in India. It was launched by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in 2019 with the aim of promoting women's cricket in the country and providing a platform for the best female cricketers to showcase their skills. The league features six teams representing different cities in India, and each team consists of 16 players, including four foreign players. The first season of the league was held in Jaipur, Rajasthan, in May 2019, and the final was played between Supernovas and Velocity, with Supernovas winning the title.
